Fewer yeasts in your diet, less mosquitoes bites

Summer brings with it some lovely warm sun and a lot of fun. However, it also brings mosquitoes that can be e a real torment. As soon as the heat passes and the evening begins to dark, these insects arrive. They can be annoying enough to ruin a beautiful late afternoon outdoors, especially if they bite you so much.

But, did you know that you can address the problem of these pesky insects at your table?

Mosquitoes are attracted by the smell of volatile substances produced by some fermentation processes. When you repeatedly or excessively consume yeasts and/or fermented products, you risk becoming the preferred target of these insects within your group of family or friends. If this is your case, it might be due to a diet rich in bread, pizza, biscuits, beer, wine, cheeses, etc.

Reducing the overall yeast load during the summer is often beneficial to be less "attractive" to these insects. We suggest you decrease the consumption of the previously mentioned products, as much as possible. You'll see that in this way you won't be the mosquitoes "main course".

We realise that during this season, you might base your diet precisely on the food we just told you to avoid. And that it might seem difficult to cut this food back, mainly because these goods are the "typical" components of the vacations menu to enjoy with your beloved ones. But avoiding yeasts from your diet does not mean sacrificing the pleasure of being and eating in company.

Here's our proposal for a great yeast-free summer meal. Start with ham and melon, followed by couscous with shrimps and zucchini, a mixed salad with colourful pepper bells and nuts. Finally, for dessert, a natural blueberry sorbet accompanied by an iced minty green tea to overcome the heat suffered during the day. It really is a spectacular healthy menu to share with your family and friends.

As you can see, there are many options for free-yeasts/fermented products meals that will help you reduce your "magnetism for mosquitoes".

Give it a try and allow yourself to enjoy your summer vacations fully!
